DoorDash HQ
DoorDash empowers local businesses to connect with their customers through thoughtful, timely, and affordable food deliveries. They wanted their San Francisco headquarters to capture that same energy and reinforce the community and support that they're building.
We designed a colorful wayfinding system inspired by the signage you might find out on city streets. At reception, we designed a legend wall for these lines to help people know which lines will take them where. These lines extend down the reception wall, continue onto the ground, and appear throughout each floor of their spacious office in downtown San Francisco.

Wayfinding Overview
The wayfinding system is inspired by the painted lines and signage on city streets. A central confluence of paths begins at reception and extends outward. Vivid stripes help people get to their destinations easily and efficiently. Just as Dashers are guided by painted lines on the city streets to get where they need to go, DoorDash employees can follow these painted lines throughout the three floors of their SF office to find the various departments and amenities they’re looking for.
Signage Details
Colorful lines appear throughout the space, running down hallways and up the stairs. Each department has its own unique color and these color coordinated lines lead employees to the right place based on their roles at the company and the color of their department. Amenities run along the white lines, which lead employees to the restrooms, café, stairs, bike storage facility, etc. – all of which have corresponding icons.
