Visual Identity

The C3 AI brand is designed to communicate precision and clarity. Inspired by the elegant simplicity of Swiss design, the C3 AI brand effortlessly creates order out of chaos.

The visual identity is built confidently on the grid and is intended to be very functional and utilitarian. It uses simple shapes, strong headlines, bold/graphical photography, a minimal color palette, and san serif typography.

Layout Grid

A strong grid-based approach is used for every kind of layout. The grid is used as consistently as possible, while also allowing for flexibility as it relates to various kinds of layouts and elements that need to be included, regardless of size, proportions, or orientation. The grid is always used as an underlying structure, with logic and precision driving all decisions.

Imagery

Systems at Scale: Used for imagery when it would be helpful to show complex systems that C3 AI works within for various industries. Geometric compositions work well and pair nicely with the design system. For this kind of imagery, there should be visual rhythm and strong lines, textures, and/or patterns that help communicate the vastness of the systems they are part of.

Specific Subjects: Used for imagery when the focus is on a single subject or topic that needs to be highlighted in a more direct way, as opposed to a focus on the larger system. Focusing on a specific subject can help the viewer understand a specific story, concept, or example of a larger system. This kind of imagery should be evocative but simple, direct, and dynamic.

Dot System

The minimal dot system was developed to feel data-driven and human-centered.

When motion is added, it becomes more dynamic and creates more opportunities for expressive storytelling.

Video Transitions

These are a few examples of video transitions that combine imagery, type, and graphics.

The C3 AI brand system is designed to be incredibly flexible and can be very expressive in motion, but always stays true to it’s core of being simple, bold, and confident.
