Wired Feature Opener 22.02

This feature opener for Wired Magazine was designed for issue 22.02. The challenge was to take the issue number and design a unique typographic execution for both print and motion.

Numerical Landscape

The 3D animation was designed using a visible grid system and semi-transparent typographic extrusions. At the beginning, the issue number is so extruded that it is totally illegible, but after a journey through the abstract numerical landscape, the camera finally pulls up to reveal the magazine issue number.
